Training seminar on the benefits of RES

A REGIONAL TRAINING SEMINAR took place in TARTU, Estonia, on 18th September 2009. Main topics discussed in the seminar dealt with the possibilities and challanges of production and consumption of biogas in Estonia.
Experiences with support schemes for renewable energies in Lüneburg have been presented by Mr Wilhelm Kruse in behalf of the District of Lüneburg.
At the same time RES support measures in Slovakkia, focusing on local and regional support measures have been shown by the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency. Good practice support schemes for RES developed by Local Authorities have been presented by Climate-Alliance.
The meeting has been used to discuss the foundation of a national biogas association.
A part of the role of Climate Alliance in the project is to facilitate the cooperation between local authorities in the area of renewable energies.
