New pictured material that brings us closer to the worlds climate situation 

"Climate Voyage around the One World" is a pictured brochure to accompany you from the UNFCC Climate Secretariat to the next Climate Summit in Mexico. On ten stoppovers you get to know more about th world`s climate situation:

You meet children like Katharina, who likes to go skiing in the alps or Esiankiki in Africa, who tells you how dry the land is where she lives. In the Arctic you learn about swimming polar bears and in North America you can discover the dancing lights at night...

ZOOM Kids on the Move for Climate Action 2010

 

Europe’s Children on a Joint Climate Voyage around the World

 The Climate Alliance of European Cities once again invites children from all over Europe to collect Green Footprints to help save the world’s climate. Through an activity week dedicated to sustainable mobility, climate change as well as the fun of movement and independent mobility, kids can examine their daily journeys and learn how to treat the world's climate with care. Each journey completed by foot, bike, roller skates, scooter, bus, train, etc. counts as one “Green Footprint”. All nursery and primary school children are invited to participate because the more Green Footprints the better!

For the ninth time, children from ages 4 to 10 years old from all over Europe will collect Green Footprints that illustrate a symbolic journey around the world until end of November 2010. This “Climate Voyage”, with a total of ten stops on various continents, will start at the UNFCCC Secretariat in Bonn, Germany, and end at the next UN Climate Summit in Mexico. The stops will highlight specific climate issues and problems that occur in each place. The children will find polar bears that are ...

Handing over Results at Climate Summit 2009 in Copenhagen

 

Children symbolically ZOOMed more than 70 times around the world for the global climate

Copenhagen/Frankfurt am Main. In 2009, a total of 187,100 children participated in Climate Alliance’s “ZOOM – Kids on the Move for Climate Action” campaign to show that the ‘little ones’ are taking steps to protect the global climate and do not just talk like the ‘big ones’ at COP15.
